Yesterday I attended a preview of Discover Georgia at Chelsea Market, which will be open through September 27, 10:30am-7:30pm. It’s a wonderful introduction to Georgian food, art, fashion, and travel. If you have a chance to stop by, I think you’ll really enjoy learning about the country!
I sampled a lot of traditional Georgian food from made from three prominent Georgian restaurants in NYC, Oda House, Old Tbilisi Garden and Toné-Café. Here are some photos that I took at the event.

I tasted some delicious white wine from Georgia (over 30 types are available for tasting at event). I learned that Georgia is known as the birthplace of wine and has been producing wine for the past 8,000 years! Some of the ancient production techniques are still in use today.
You’ll get to sample and purchase Georgian juices, spreads, jams, sauces, and its famous Silk Road Black Tea enriched with aromatic jasmine.
