Joy & Peace x Vivienne Tam Shoe Collaboration

I had the wonderful opportunity to speak with designer Mandy Tang, Deputy General Manager (HK & Macau) of Belle International Holdings Limited, the parent company of JOY & PEACE about the launch of their shoe collaboration with Vivienne Tam for Fall 2016.

Founded in 1995, Joy & Peace is a leading women’s fashion footwear brand in China and Hong Kong, renowned for its Italian craftsmanship.  The brand has over 500 stores in Hong Kong, Macau, China and Malaysia, covering over 100 cities.

Mandy spoke to me about how delighted and honored she is that Joy & Peace and its group of Hong Kong designers will be showcased in this international arena.  They really admire Vivienne’s style and like the way her designs merge the east and west together.
When I asked Mandy about the collaboration, she said they wanted to create something that would fit well with  Vivienne Tam’s inspiration this season, which is indigenous culture and beautiful blended  mosaics.

One of the styles is an elegant laser cut genuine leather long boot with a statement shiny golden stacked heel.  There is also a more delicate looking ankle boot with a kitten heel.  They are available in 3 colors: black, pewter, and burgundy.  Another style is the Lambskin Suede Pump  embellished with an embroidered pattern designed by Vivienne Tam- the Chinese Flying Clouds.  The look is very distinguished and really stands out against the dark blue and dark black background of the shoe.
