I recently attended “The Secrets of Chinese Food & Fine Wine Pairings” with Chiu-Ti Jansen and Sommelier Mark D. Smith which was held at the spacious resident’s lounge in NINE 52, Hell’s Kitchen Luxury Condominium developed by Gaia Real Estate. A delicious selection of 6 red and white wines were introduced and paired with Chinese dishes such as turnip cake and roast pork buns.

One of my favorites was a Sancerre Le Mont 2015, a refreshing Savignon Blanc. A basic rule of thumb for wine drinkers is to pair reds with beef and heartier meats, while whites go well with lighter flavors such as fish. It was a fun event at a beautiful venue and everyone was full of holiday cheer.
